Welcome new members, to my RP forum!
A few things that we need to keep by before we start to RP.
Rules
General
-Respect. Show respect to all members and staff. Be anything you want, just don't fight. Always apologize sincerely if you actually have managed to upset someone with harsh or rude words.
-Do not Spam. Don't post (S)hort, (P)ointless (A)nnoying (M)essages.
Roleplay
-Absolutely no Powerplaying or Godmoding. Powerplaying is when you do something to another character that does not belong to you without the other person's permission. Godmoding is when you portray your character as an all-mighty, undefeatable, god-like being. Having lots and lots of magic and too many skills can also fall into godmoding.
-No Mary Sues either. Mary Sue means a character that has been portrayed as being, "Perfect." They have no flaws in appearance or personality, they always seem to do everything right and everyone loves them, etc... This goes hand-in-hand with Godmoding. Give your characters flaws!
-Post with acceptable grammar in roleplay. Type posts in legible, understandable English.
-No Double Posting. The posting rules in roleplay are simple, two roleplay posts made by you cannot touch. Meaning that you have to wait until someone else posts after you in order to post again.
-Keep things PG-13. No detailed, graphic scenes that would be bad for teenagers. Small blood and gore is all right. Just no incredibly descriptive 'naughty' scenes. Romance is fine though.
-Ooc messages are ok in roleplay. If you need to say something, it's all right to post out of character in the roleplay board, as long as the ooc conversation doesn't go on forever.
-Limit your magic. For characters that have magical abilities, it needs to be given an appropriate weakness. No ability can be super strong, all-powerful or limitless or else it would be godmoding.
-No gods, half-gods, demi-gods, etc. This would be godmoding.
-When making profiles, do not copy names/ideas from other member's forms. For names, if the name is common or popular it's understandable that the name might be taken more than once.
Signatures
-Don't stretch the forum. Don't post HUGE images in your signatures that will deform the forum width, it's annoying. Also try to keep the images around 400 pixels or so in height. If not, it will be resized.
-Follow the forum rules. Foul words are not allowed.
Images and Artwork
-Do not steal art. If we catch you claiming to have drawn an image that you did not in fact draw, you'll get an automatic 3-day ban. Repeated offense will get you permanently banned.
-Give credit where credit is due. You can use images that you find on the web if they look like the character that you have in mind. However, if you didn't draw the image it's important that you post a link to the original artist, or say who originally drew it and NEVER claim to have made it yourself.
Administrators and Administrators-In-Training
-Be familiar with the rules. Staff members are required to read the rules at least once a month, in order to stay familiar with them.
Remember to check the information board if you're unsure of or are curious about anything.
Punishments: Breaking any of the rules can result in an instant 3-day ban, though staff tend to be lenient if the person sincerely apologizes and promises that it won't happen again.
If the same rule is broken a second time by the same person, staff won't be so merciful and a 1-week ban will be placed upon the offender.
If the rules are broken a third time, then the member will face a permanent ban from the site.
Well, that's it for now, so have fun!
